Scroungy

A little bull moose in velvet I met the other day.
He has a lot of eating to do to get all pretty and,
and a lot of lessons to learn to stay alive another year,
but he has made it this far at least.
So he has a chance, which is all anyone can expect I think. Make the most of it little bull.

My Knee Hurts, My Truck Stinks...

Part of being an athlete is hurting, pain is something you deal with, push through, manage, change activity to avoid, or succumb to, it is there, like stress, it's up to you to deal with it.
After a good run last Thursday, the next day, my left knee started hurting,
not enough to lay me up, but enough to be a nuisance in the short term.
Just a remnant I figure, of my past life of a downhill skier and mountaineer, well worth it at the time and now too I would say.
After doing a couple miles today out on the track, feels good so far.
My truck seems to be having a mid life crisis, and only with 220,000 miles on it, hmmmmm
Maybe me and my old truck are about the same in years and wear, still functioning and feeling fine with needed maintenance. I like that just fine.

Here's a diversionary photo, I call it that because we all need diversions to take us away from the work, the study, the tedium and so on. Seeing such things is a nice diversion to me, as well as your photos and experiences I see and read about.

This one is called simply Vees

How many V's do you see?

This song may be offensive to some, if so oh well, or TS, I have always liked it.

Don't take life too serious, just enough, you can quote me on that

Forget Me Not

The Alpine Forget-Me-Not is Alaska's State Flower, the tiniest representative for the largest state in the US.

Bigger than life to me as all such things are…

IMGP4283 a Forget Me Not

Eight stars of gold on a field of blue,
Alaska's flag, may it mean to you,
The blue of the sea, the evening sky,
The mountain lakes and the flowers nearby,
The gold of the early sourdough's dreams,
The precious gold of the hills and streams,
The brilliant stars in the northern sky,
The "Bear," the "Dipper," and shining high,
The great North Star with its steady light,
O'er land and sea a beacon bright,
Alaska's flag to Alaskans dear,
The simple flag of a last frontier.

From the Alaska State Song

IMGP4278 a Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not when I am not here

For I am still with you on this trail

I am just along a different place along it

Forget Me Not and we will meet again

Soon my friend soon

A little verse from Kuskulana

Your life is as big as you make it my friends,

just take a lessen from the little things

And Happy Solstice!

So you have a sigma 70 300 lens yourself :)  Yea, if I wanted to do real astrophotography then I would need a 1000 + lens and i would also have to be able to move it to follow the planet as well.  I wonder how much one of those lens's would cost ?  ;)

Hello Steve, I have tried to download and use the program that you sugested that I try.  But a PC genious I ain't can't get the dam thing to work. It keeps wanting to incorperate into "picture it" and it won't let it.  I took some pictures back on "Earth Day" they drew a map infield of the bike track and then usedflags to represent abused children.  The Pictures by themsevles have no effect.  But if you could have seen them as I did it would blow you away.  I just wish I could get them together but maybe i'll go back to school and learn... In anycase I wanted to thank you for trying to help and for your friendship.
Peace
